Spradlin Schoolhouse is dedicated to providing customized tutoring services and support for children (ages 3-9 years old) on the Autism spectrum. Our team works closely with families residing in Hays and Comal counties (TX), to implement an individualized learning plan that caters to each child's strengths, learning styles, and needs. We focus on academic enrichment, social skills, and life skills to help students transition to public school (general education classroom or special education). Through structured, engaging, and sensory-friendly sessions, our classroom-on-wheels creates a supportive environment where students feel understood and empowered to reach their full potential. Many families use our services in correlation with ABA therapies before, during, or after the child transitions to full time public school attendance.

     Spradlin Schoolhouse tutoring sessions are held in the child's home. Each session is one hour in length, and are scheduled up to three sessions per week. The number of weekly sessions are determined during the initial consultation. At least one parent is to be present in the home during each tutoring session. A small amount of floor space (or table space for older children) is all that is needed in order to conduct the session. Older siblings are welcome to observe the sessions and may even be included in a session from time to time if they wish.

     Our team members have been specially trained, have extensive experience working with children on the Autism spectrum, and receive continuing education throughout the year. Many of our team members are pursuing their college degrees in behavioral health, in social work, or in the medical field. All our team members are bonded and insured as private tutors and have routine yearly background checks. Background check documentation is carried with each team member (and a copy is stored by Spradlin Schoolhouse at all times) and can be viewed by parents at any time upon request.

     Monthly tuition for each child is based on the number of sessions booked routinely each week at the rate of $45/hour. Tuition is payable before the first of each calendar month. No makeup sessions will be available for cancelled/missed sessions (even due to illness). Only if a session is cancelled by the Spradlin Schoolhouse team, will a credit for the missed session be applied to the following month's invoice. 

     Sessions will not be scheduled (or included in the monthly invoice) for the following days in 2024-2025: 

• November 25-30, 2024

• December 23-28, 2024

• March 10-15, 2025

• June 30-July 5, 2025

• September 1-6, 2025

     It is important to note that our tutoring services are not billable to any healthcare plan as our team members are not medical providers or behavioral healthcare providers. We accept many forms of payment including credit/debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and CashApp. Payment is due in advance. Invoices are generated and emailed out on the 27th of the month and payable before the first of the following month. Auto-pay is an option. Parents may choose to discontinue our tutoring services for any reason by the 25th of the month, effective the first day of the following month. No hidden fees. No supply fees. No gratuity.
